BIG EAST Player of the Year Green confirmed late last month that he would hire an agent and forego his senior season at Georgetown to enter the NBA Draft. The co-captain’s decision to enter the draft was made easier after a postseason in which he earned Most Outstanding Player in the BIG EAST Tournament and Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA East Regional honors.

“I love Georgetown, my friends, my team, coaches,” Green said at a May 23 press conference. “But after a lot of examination I've come to the conclusion that this is what's best for me. I intend to get my degree eventually, but right now it's the NBA.”

The Hyattsville, Md. native led the Hoyas in scoring (14.3 ppg), while finishing second in rebounding (6.4) and assists (3.2). He finished his college career as a member of Georgetown’s 1,000 point club (1,339) and 16th on the all-time rebounding list (664).

According to Green’s profile on ESPN.com, the projected lottery pick is a versatile athlete who can shoot, rebound, pass and play defense. While he can is a jack of all trades, so to speak, Green’s shooting can be streaky and inconsistent.
